Dr. Emmanuel Adukwu

Dr Emmanuel Adukwu is a microbiologist and educator. He is an academic based in the United Kingdom (UK) and is currently Deputy Head, School of Applied Sciences at the University of the West of England (UWE) Bristol. He graduated with a BSc in Biomedical Sciences at Coventry University, a Master of Science by Research from Manchester Metropolitan University and a PhD in Applied Microbiology from the University of Northampton.
He is a Director of Studies for Research and has a team of researchers carrying out investigations into antimicrobial resistance stewardship and surveillance in Africa, infection control and evaluation of antimicrobial agents. He is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA) and is actively developing and implementing strategies to enable inclusive learning in higher education as well as graduate employability. Emmanuel is passionate about promoting science and education to global communities and has shared his work at conferences and festivals. He co-created the Aspiring Professionals Hub, a platform set up to provide educational and career mentoring for early career professionals. He is a member of several professional bodies globally and actively contributes to the development of the field in his diverse roles within professional organizations.
